Full School on the Plaza

Each week we will post the locations of our students. Please contact the office for help in finding the appropriate ceremony for your child.

Announcements:

  • Tracking Policies: dress code, cell phone, tardies, boundaries. Warning, Parent Notification, Loss of Next School Activity. We are seeing less dress code infractions! Review of boundaries - after school you but be supervised by a staff member or sponsor at all times. Students cannot remain in the hallways, blacktop, or labyrinth after school unsupervised.
  • Culture of Thinking Conversations happening in classes - reconnect with why we are at this school, what we care about and how to contribute to our culture.
  • Next two weeks we have LBUSD high school students on campus using the social hall & rec center for AP Testing. We will need to be careful when getting changed for PE and during break to have conversations outside and not in the hallways or outside the restrooms.
  • Monday and Tuesday are minimum days for 8th grade conferences - you'll see all your classes but they will each be 77 minutes without office hours.
  • Tonight is the dance! Because of testing on campus we are holding the dance outside in the labyrinth. We have a lot of parent supervision and Ms. Gordon & Ms. Chen will be making sure that if any student is breaking behavior expectations they can send them home officially. We want to have a lot of fun and be really careful about the property so here are a few reminders:
    • Arrive and check in under the chapel overhang - $10 if you haven't paid already
    • Remember to eat dinner - there are only a few snacks
    • Bring snacks for the snack table - no cupcakes because they make such a mess. There are only a few veggies that will be available if you don't bring some to share.
    • Reusable water bottle earns you a donut hole from the green table.
    • You are responsible for your phones and bags. Since there is no way they can be watched try not to bring anything you cannot carry in your pocket.
    • Wear reasonable shoes! Cannot stand on the concrete
  • 7 weeks left! Only 5 weeks left to retake any outstanding test or quizzes or to get extended time on assignments. Take advantage of office hours. The sooner you address grade concerns the more impact you can make on the grades.
