What do I need to know about IVA's Complaint Procedure?
IVA's process for Complaint Procedures may be different from a larger district school. IVA does not participate in Williams funding and does not apply to a Uniform Complaint Procedures but instead uses internal complaint processes. Please review the image above to determine which protocol you can follow to submit your complaint.

Who should the complaint be addressed to?
Complaints can be directed to the principal for internal mediation and communication. Complaints can be submitted to our office by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. Should I copy LBUSD or LA County Office of Education into an IVA complaint?
IVA is authorized by LBUSD and yet, as an independent Local Educational Agency, follows CA Ed Code complaint procedures and IVA's Board Policy by processing complaints internally.

If the complaint is regarding the school leader, please email our board chair Howie Fitzgerald (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)
