Virtue Ceremony - Mixed Grade Levels
 
Join us in celebrating our students virtue practice. This weekly closing ceremony is one of the rituals that mark our communities celebration of struggle, virtue practice, and joy in the challenge of learning. 

Each week we will post the locations of our students. Please contact the office for help in finding the appropriate ceremony. 

This week's ceremony locations:

Skatepark: Ms. Gordon Leading - 6th Graders
English 6 with Ms. Flower, Coding 6 with Ms. Baehr (subbing for Ms. Chen), Physical Education 6 with Ms. Gordon
& Ms. McAdams!

Rec Center: Ms. Campos Leading - 7/8 mixed
History 7 with Ms. Sindaha, Science 8 with Ms. Campos
& Mr. McCurry

Labyrinth: Mr. Mikaele Leading - 7/8 mixed
History 8 with Mr. Fountain, Art 7 with Ms. Denis

Announcements:

  • Next Saturday is the Fitathon Community Event - There are all sorts of individual prizes and you get a Free Dress Day on your own if you can get your parents to sign up at pledgestar.com/iva by tonight!!
    • Teacher raffles include going to movies with Mr. Fountain, a tennis match with Ms. Noble & Ms. Bryant, a cake made by Ms. Denis. The event is going to be so much fun on March 4th from 10am to 2pm. 
  • Class Competitions!!! Block 1 classes are going to start a competition next week for two purposes: 
    • 1. If everyone in your class raises at least $10 each your whole class gets a special treat at lunch.
    • 2. Isaac's community service club is collecting cans. The class who brings in the most cans by next Friday can earn a free dress day for the whole school. (Must be over 30 cans to be in the competition). 
  • Lost and Found needs your attention. Check out the items before leaving school today. All lost and found will be donated by next Friday!

In summary: Fitathon, canned food, and lost & found - it's all happening. 

General celebrations: 

  • 35 Student Leaders trained and pulled off an awesome event last night for interested families. You are a student leader if you are trained as an official Student Leader or if you started a club. If you are either of those please raise your hand and on the count of three we will say "Great Leadership, Students"
  • Teachers - celebrate individual struggles.
