Join us in celebrating our students virtue practice. This full school weekly closing ceremony is one of the rituals that mark our communities celebration of  struggle, virtue practice, and the challenge of learning. 

Each week we will post the locations of our students.

This month we will have two grade level meetings and two mixed grade level meetings based on students last class of the day. To know where to go for the appropriate ceremony you will need to know your students' block 6 class.

Please contact the office for help in finding the appropriate ceremony. 

This week's ceremony locations:

6th grade: Rec Center - Ms. Bryant leads: English 6 with Ms. Flower; Physical Education 6 with Ms. Gordon; Math 6 with Ms. Chen 
7th grade: Plaza - Mr. McCurry and Ms. Noble lead: History 7 with Ms. Farris, Art 7 with Ms. Denis 
8th grade: Labyrinth - Ms. Campos, Science 8 and Mr. Fountain, History 8 lead - Ms. McAdams and Mr. Mikaele join

So many October events:

• Tuesday, Oct. 11 - PTSA Meeting and HS CHOICE Parent Academy - meeting in Room 111
• The week after - October 16, 17, and 18 are minimum days for Student-Parent-Teacher conference
  • the goal of this conference is to celebrate the virtues students practice and hear from the student which virtues they want to grow in this year and how that impacts their daily life at school
• Friday, Oct. 21 is our school dance - theme will be released next week
• Clubs and Student Council are forming! Next Friday is the due date for your forms. 
• Our cross country runners are having a great time - everyone did really well. Way to go runners!

General celebrations: 

• Teachers share the virtue practice they have seen - if there is time teachers can shout out their colleagues!
• Tell someone what you've learned in the first month about what kind of school you want to be a part of?
