Asion Jackson is a Long Beach native and a proud product of the Long Beach Unified School District (Lafayette Elementary, Hughes Middle School, and Polytechnic High School). During college he fostered his passion for technology by co-founding AMB Computers, a start-up focusing on computer building and hardware repair.  

After graduating, Asion joined Houghton Mifflin Harcourt publishing, and used his passion for computers to become a Curriculum Specialist focusing on education technology.  He also spent time as part of the MBA Leadership Development Program with Bank of America, where he worked in ATM data analytics, sales management, and bank operations management.

Asion is an Alumnus of Education Pioneers (14’), where he helped The Pahara Institute map the leadership demographics of charter management organizations (CMOs) in the country’s largest states. He later worked as the Regional Operations Manager for Citizens of the World Charter Schools Los Angeles, where he gained the foundation for his current role as an Area Operations and Finance Manager for Green Dot Public Schools.

In terms of board expertise, Asion learned best practices and board roles and responsibilities as the Governance Specialist for BoardOnTrack, where he worked with and presented to hundreds of charter school boards across the country.
