IVA's parent community will gather to learn how IVA's particular intellectual demand on students might adjust what kids need from your parent role in providing support at home.

Students are given the opportunity to practicing intellectual virtues to come to a deep understanding of content in class, which requires personal presence and sent home with home thinking assignments intended to extend their thinking. Come to learn how to ask questions, give support and encouragement, demonstrate your own Intellectual Humility and Growth Mindset in order to create a pattern for them to practice the same so they can begin to move toward more independence and Intellectual Autonomy over the middle school years. 

Parents will also be given guidance on the best form of contact with teachers to become partners in your child's growth.
