Our teachers and staff will work together to ensure that our grading practices are aligned and that comments included on the report card are personalized. We use the comments as an opportunity to speak into the learning lives of our students by naming the intellectual virtue growth in each subject as well as the area of growth. These comments are not meant to finalize a students' identity but to provide an invitation to self-awareness and metacognition. In addition, the teachers will be working on creating our teacher evaluation process to match the same expectations and encouragements of intellectual character growth and we will continue adjusting our benchmark and daily assignments to prepare students for the Common Core state testing in April.
