Summer Meals

Summer is almost here and we’d like to ensure your student has access to nutritious food when school is out.
Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine will be offering free summer meals to youth ages 1–18 through the USDA-funded Summer Food Service Program.
Participating locations are listed below. Operating times vary at each site, with operating dates varying at select locations.
No lunches served Friday, June 19 or July 3. 
June 15 to August 21 – Serving time 11:30 a.m. to noon:

Monthly Menu

We partner with Fresh Start Healthy Meals to provide a free breakfast and lunch to any interested student. If you have questions or feedback about our meal program please contact our Nutrition Services Coordinator: liz.gillies@ivalongbeach.org.

Wellness Committee

Mission Statement: Ensuring that IVA’s Wellness Policy is followed while promoting the overall wellness of our school community by implementing school-wide wellness initiatives so that we can continue to learn and live well.

The wellness committee is a group comprised of staff members, students, and parents who promote and lead campus wide initiatives in an effort to promote the wellness of our school.

Meetings are held each semester for a duration of one hour. If you are interested in joining the committee, feel free to contact us at meals@ivalongbeach.org.

All stakeholders are able to participate in the development, review, update, and implementation of the Wellness Policy.
